Getting started
AniNotes is an iPad app and works best with an Apple Pencil. Write with the Pencil, drag with one finger to scroll, and pinch to zoom. Highlight an equation, molecule, or messy note and AniNotes turns it into a live, animated visual.
Frequently asked questions
How do I unlock everything?
Tap Upgrade and buy AniNotes Pro — a one-time purchase (no subscription) that unlocks all five subject toolkits, unlimited notebooks and lectures, and the endless canvas.
I already paid — how do I restore it on a new device?
Open the upgrade screen and tap Restore purchase. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with, Pro re-unlocks for free.
Is my work private?
Yes. Your notes stay on your device — no accounts, no tracking, no analytics. See our Privacy Policy.
How does the handwriting/equation recognition work?
Entirely on your device. Write something like y = sin(x), highlight it, and it graphs and animates. Nothing you write is sent anywhere.
How do I add a molecule, reaction, circuit, or graph?
Write it and highlight it, or use the subject tools in the + menus (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Engineering, and advanced Math) to insert and edit one directly.
A tool isn't showing up in a notebook.
Each notebook loads only the tool libraries you chose. Long-press the notebook → Libraries… to turn more on.
What do I need to run AniNotes?
An iPad running iPadOS 17 or later. An Apple Pencil is strongly recommended, since drawing is the core of the app.
